| The Review Program Trusted by Top Employers |
RxPrep instructors have developed a comprehensive program to help you get the most out of preparing for the NAPLEX® (and in California, for the CPJE exam). Topics are pointed and focused on what you need to know. Examples are based on practical experience and real world scenarios. Course materials are regularly updated, providing the student with the most current therapeutic information. Our courses are designed not only to better prepare you for the Pharmacist Licensure Exam, but also to prepare you to be a better pharmacist. Our goal for the student is simple: focused preparation, maximum results.
For students studying independently (such as students who have been out of pharmacy for many years, or graduates from countries outside of the U.S.), we typically recommend the online review over a live program. The online review is 53.3 hours long—this provides the time required to review materials that students need to know, such as the proper use of inhalers, how to give an epi injection, how to store and dispose of medications safely, and so on. It is not possible to present a complete review adequately in a shorter time frame. With the online course, students can view the material they need repeatedly—and skip over what they have mastered. This option includes the quiz bank assessment—you can find out what you know before you test. There are some subjects that foreign grads will likely not have had that are now required in the U.S. PharmD curriculum—for example, immunizations and pharmacoeconomics/biostatics—it is not possible to cover this material adequately in an hour or two of a live crash course.
A live review option: Some students will have completed a PharmD program in the U.S. and require just a “crash review.” Our instructors present 2, 3, 4 or 5 day reviews at many campuses each spring, for professional organizations and for all four of the top pharmacy chains. We hold a few of our own RxPrep live reviews that are held several times per year and are open to all. When these are coming up we post them on our website a month or two in advance. Typically, we hold a couple each spring, and around the turn of the year.
Classes meet from 8am- 5pm daily. All students enrolled in the live programs receive the accompanying course text—this is a complete review (other written sources are not required) and is the preferred source used by the majority of students in the U.S. to prepare for their licensure exam/s. Most schools using our live or online programs purchase the quiz bank assessment for their students—we provide analytics on your students progress in each area, monthly, at no additional charge. Students enter the lectures and quiz assessments through a college-specific portal with your logo, and messages you wish to post.
